Enlarged heart and decreased blood flow in and out of heart at age 36. What now? - stress enlarged heart

My husband had a stress test, which showed an enlarged heart with a small decrease in blood flow. More than 36 years. It will be dizzy and short of breath. In view of the heart to see doc Thursday. What can you expect, and you know what are the prospects?

  1. not yet clear how often symptoms occur, or is the result of the exercise test. Almost every body to try to breathe while running on the treadmill!

Sounds simple health problem, but shortness of breath and swelling are a prerequisite for life and possibly, if the symptom that occurs frequently until just before it was set too late. Doctor may suggest other tests such as CT, angiography and stenting procedures and pills.

  2. What type of cardiac hypertrophy? The type will determine what treatments are available. None of the conditions referred to as the greatest heart, that the same treatment. Sorry, we need a name for the clinical advice provided accordingly.

    Good luck to you.

  4. Decreased blood flow to an enlarged heart is usually a valve problem. A valve narrowing (stenosis) would hamper the production of what (the heart work harder to increase the size of like a muscle).

Some types of idiopathic cardiomyopathy may cause this problem. You can, Google book.

Your doctor will probably tell you, give a diagnosis and treatment options.
